Metropolitan Business and Professional Women (MBPW) presents the National Business Women's Week Luncheon sponsored by PNC Bank being held Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Westin in Uptown Charlotte. The event honors the achievements women have made in the business world and highlights their experiences as sources of inspiration for other business and professional women.
This year, we are excited to have Krissie Newman, wife of NASCAR Driver Ryan Newman and President and Executive Director of Rescue Ranch, Inc. and Karen Ray, former North Carolina State House Representative, as our honored speakers. Both women have a unique perspective about taking their passion and turning it into their business. They'll speak about their journeys toward achieving their goals and what drives them everyday.
The theme for this year's event is "Where Passion and Heart Meet the World of Business" - you will not want to miss out! Registration is now open at www.nbwwcharlotte.org. Reserve your seat today - we look forward to seeing you there!

National Business Women's Week (NBWW) was started in 1928 by the Business and Professional Women's group to celebrate and dramatize the contribution of women in the workplace. NBWW was held for the first time in North Carolina that same year. In 1932, Governor O. Max Gardner gave the event his endorsement, and the General Assembly passed House Bill No. 582 in 1933 and called upon all North Carolinians to assist in honoring National Business Women's Week. The event is now held annually in October.
MBPW is a professional organization dedicated to building women leaders in the greater Charlotte community.
